Controversial Calvinism Blog

My friend Steve Costley has been busy blogging, when I didn't even know it. I checked his KeyLimePi blog (which he hasn't updated since the days of Noah lol) and saw that he created a new one. Here's his new blog:

I'll try to catch up on reading it later, Steve ;-)

Phew! You really had me worried there, I thought maybe something happened to you. I mean, it's been a full 3 weeks since your last post. I was about to organize a search party. I'm glad to see that all is well...

God bless,

Hi Jon,

Thanks for your concern. I don't recall if I told you this or not, but I work at United Parcel Service. As you can imagine, we've been very busy this time of year. It's our peak season.

Also, I haven't had much in mind to say lately. I usually wait for something to trigger my thoughts before I post. When I've posted on serious topics, I feel compelled to say what I say. It's as if I'm saying to myself, "People need to hear this! They must pay attention to what I am about to say." There is a burden before I post certain things. I hope that sense of urgency comes across in the posts.

I have posted alot about Calvinistic issues, but it's information that is very unique, I believe. I don't see the same kind of information on other blogs. In some ways, I feel like a modern Andrew Fuller.

Speaking of Fuller, I have some information about his interaction with Abraham Booth that I may post. It's from Robert Oliver's book on the History of the English Calvinistic Baptists. Anyway, we'll see.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas time and a Happy New Year, Jon. May your family experience be a foretaste of heaven, which, as Jonathan Edwards said, is a world of love.

Grace to you,

Hey Tony,

You know I was slightly kidding there. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and New Year as well.

I've found Andrew Fuller to be very enjoyable to read. I almost bought his works for Christmas (well, it would have been a present from my wife), but I chose a bunch of commentaries instead (among other things). I also picked up Shedd's Dogmatic Theology, so I'll be busy this year. Hope you get some good books under the tree...
